Reflecting on what you have learned about english composition

My final essay for this class, on the status of global fossil fuel usage in the world today, was I think, by far my most advanced work of writing ever. My professor asked me to write a Process Paper. I am also very proud of how well I analyzed and elaborated on the outside information I used in the third paper.

The amount of things I have learned in this class is immense and to briefly summarize what I learned in class, I would have to claim that I learned how to learn. I have a better understanding on how various ways of in taking information can lead to various versions of understanding.

Your independence has truly grown compared to when you first arrived at college, over such a short span of time. Writing this type of essay was difficult because it was embarrassing and emotional.

I felt I would get a better grade than what I received on my paper, but now I know next time to double and triple check for spelling errors. The second essay was the most difficult for me of the three.

When I look at my formed ideas from the past once in a while, I realize about two things. For example, I believe that the third weekly comment enables the student to look at both sides of arguments and form opinions from incorporating his or her general knowledge and personal values to new information that was retained recently.

This idea came to my head because I do this task of washing the floor two times a week a work, and also at my own place of residence a few times a week.

This course really aided my understanding of certain aspects of writing I had never understood before. This is an area that I had never really taken advantage of before. There had to be a lot of descriptive telling in this essay, and this is why I feel writing it was very difficult.

Without this I do not think I would have understood academic writing as well as I now do. First off, I could not even think about what I was going to write about until almost the last minute.

The three essays that I wrote for this class really challenged me to improve my writing. For example, I can understand the game theory by examining a visual diagram. One thing that this essay taught me was the importance of multiple drafts in the writing process.

I also realized that I am not a good audio learner since I had a hard time understanding, focusing, and listening to the podcast by Nicholson Baker. Another thing that I included in this essay that I think were very effective are flash quotation.

I think I revised this essay one or two times before I actually handed the paper in. Please any comment or advice or idears are welcome here Reflections are useful because not only does it create a stronger understanding but it also creates a different dimensions or views of beliefs.

I am more confident about writing effectively in future college classes after taking this class. Because you have developed a confident and strong writing ability from your English Composition 1 class, you are now able to succeed in college.Throughout this foundation of writing class this semester I experienced many new ways to write different types of essays.

Each essay took time, effort, and several ideas to make a master piece. I learned several skills and techniques this semester to improve my writing skills for the future. Isn’t it ironic that you have waited until the night before to write this reflective letter for English Composition 1? you have to write the essay. But to have a proper essay you must cite facts to prove your points and by doing that you must cite your work at the end of your essay.
